There are indeed signs that spring may be springing around the neighbourhood.

Here may be the last we’ll see of that chunk of frozen, filthy snow that has sat like a boulder at the curb. And, across the street, amid pebbles in a bed, there appear to be the shoots of daffodils (You’ll have to look hard to find the solidly green leaves among the  desiccated bits of old vegetable matter):

And, where Brenton Street and Clyde intersect, there’s that truly Canadian sign of spring:  the blooming pot hole, this one complete with embedded lake:
